Anti-inflammatory property and helps with low platelets. Papaya has antithrombocytopenic (low platelets) and anti-inflammatory (swelling) properties. All this helps to maintain a healthy weight.

Papaya contains a nutrient called beta-carotene, which helps prevent asthma .

Contains an antioxidant called zeaxanthin that protects the skin by filtering out harmful blue light rays. Antioxidants also prevent skin aging and other skin diseases.

It is rich in fiber and water content, which helps prevent constipation and keeps the digestive tract healthy.

It is immensely rich in vitamin C even more than oranges and thus acts as an amazing anti-inflammatory and wound healer.

It is rich in the electrolyte called potassium which is very important for a healthy heart.

Papaya also has a versatile nutrient called choline that aids in fat absorption, nerve impulse transmission, and reduces chronic inflammation .

We have also heard and seen cosmetic products that contain extracts of this fruit, because it is rich in vitamins A and C that enhance the shine and texture of the skin.

Is papaya unsafe for pregnant women?

Mac responds to the question of whether papaya is dangerous for pregnant women: “There is a myth that pregnant women should avoid papaya. Here’s the truth: Unripe papaya contains a chemical called papain that can be harmful to pregnant women. Ripe papaya does not contain papain and can be eaten by everyone.”
